I’m excited to be a part of the Content Creation and Distribution Expo to be presented in Loomis on September 16 & 17. This is a northern California-wide event, and I’m excited that they have added a faith-based venue, with which I will participate (more info in the Press Release below). Specifically, I’ll be speaking at the closing Keynote Address at the Impact Corner at the Koinonia venue. I’ll also be leading worship, along with Kent Peterson, at the opening morning devotions each of the two days at 8:30 AM. Finally, the Manuel Luz Trio (ML3) will be performing a concert at lunch on Saturday at the same venue. I highly encourage all of my friends involved in filmmaking, e-book authorship, videography, music CD production and composition, and internet web development or web streaming to come to this event.
The Content Creation and Distribution Expo will be held throughout the historic Town of Loomis, California on September 16 and 17, 2011. Sponsored by Pacific Crest Media and the Placer-Lake Tahoe Film Office, this two-day CCD Expo mixes elements of trade shows, professional development conferences, and content markets in a festival-like environment featuring live entertainment. Notable guest speakers, internationally recognized corporations, and regional companies will demonstrate and discuss the future of movies, television, music, education and online communications—a future that can be shaped in unlikely places. Today, digital content can be produced anywhere and distributed everywhere there is an audience for it.
One of four featured venues, Impact Corner at Koinonia Family Services presents a variety of seminars, panels, and exhibitions that explore the intersection of content and purpose. These events will be held in the Training Room of Koinonia Family Services’ Executive Headquarters at 3731 Magnolia Street in Loomis. The Koinonia headquarters is on the corner of Oak and Magnolia, one block south of Taylor and the other featured venues and booths.
Impact Corner at Koinonia Family Services intends to inform, to encourage thoughtful dialogue, and to foster productive relationships among attendees by scheduling a combination of expert presentations, a Question and Answer session with a panel of our featured experts, networking breaks and extended lunches.
Who Should Attend?
Anyone interested in creating, distributing, and promoting digital content should find the events scheduled at Impact Corner at Koinonia Family Services worthwhile. In particular, Friday’s opening Keynote Address by Torry Martin and Saturday’s closing Keynote Address by Manuel Luz have broad appeal and are being offered free of charge.
The Friday sessions have been designed to benefit creative and technical teams and individuals serving organizations and ministries. Independent film makers and other creative personnel wanting to promote projects or services and to build an interactive, online community will also benefit from Friday’s sessions.
Saturday’s sessions will benefit anyone working with stories or story development, especially writers, directors, producers, and editors interested in reaching an intended audience through comedy sketches and short films with interesting characters.
Attendees will gain crucial insights from leading experts, network with fellow creators and distributors of digital content, and meet potential collaborators and future creative and business partners. All this at a price that is hard to beat.
