NAMM 2010: Speaking at HOT Zone

I’ll be speaking at the NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) annual show in Anaheim, California (across from Disneyland) on Saturday, January 16.  The HOT Zone is a new training area at NAMM, and will have an entire track for Houses of Worship, sponsored by Worship Musician Magazine.

I’ll be one of the presenters speaking on the topic, “The Arts and the Church.”  A synopsis of my workshop is below:

“More and more churches are using the arts (music, drama, visual arts, film, etc.) in cutting-edge ways. But are your churches grounded in a biblical understanding of the arts?  Do you understand your role and calling as an artist to the church and to the world?  In this workshop, Manuel Luz gives a fresh and practical perspective on the role of the arts—and the artists—to express themselves more fully in and outside your church walls.”

If you are hanging out at NAMM this weekend, please come out to the HOT Zone and say hi to me.  Looking forward to seeing you there!

BTW…

Worship Leader Magazine has posted their November review of my book.  It is a very favorable review, for which I am grateful!   Slam it here to read it…
